Churnwright: The City That Forged the Gods

Before it fell silent, Churnwright built the engines that would inherit the divine. A tour of the flagship campaign's beating, broken heart.

Every campaign needs a place that feels like a character. In Aftergod, that place is Churnwright — the furnace-city where mortals once forged the Choir Engines on the gods' own commission.

When the Hollowing came, Churnwright did not empty. It changed. The engines it had built woke inside its walls, and the city became the closest thing the Continuum has to a body. Its foundries still run. No one is entirely sure who — or what — is stoking them.

Why start here?

Churnwright gives new tables everything the setting promises in miniature: salvage economies, factions of the Continuum pressing in from three directions, and a mystery at the center that rewards the kind of players who like to pull threads until something screams.

The Churnwright Campaign Guide takes a party from desperate scavengers to people the city itself has learned to fear. We'll be sharing more from it in the coming weeks.
